Ian Blake

BEng (Hons), MSc, CIWM, CEnv

Following an education in minerals engineering and environmental protection, Ian has gained over 25 years of experience in the field of resource and waste management and planning, the vast majority of which have been in a management position. Ian is passionate about sustainable development and is committed to developing and implementing plans and strategies which work toward this aim. This is helped by excellent project management expertise and acute political awareness.

Ian is a chartered waste manager (MCIWM) with over 25years of professional experience mainly in the public sector. Ian lectures on waste and minerals planning to students on the Brighton University RTPI accredited MA in Town Planning.

David Payne

BSc (Hons), MSc, MRTPI

He has a degree in biology and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning.

He brings expertise in environmental planning, particularly for minerals and waste, to help private and public sector clients achieve their outcomes.

Recent projects include site appraisals and applications for waste developments, specialist contribution to EIA, development management and planning policy support to minerals and waste planning authorities, and research for the Planning Advisory Service.

Alan Potter

BSc (Hons), MCIWM, CEnv, UKELA

Alan is a chartered waste manager having worked in the field for nearly 30 years. He has project managed and led numerous projects for a range of clients from national government through to permitting and planning applications for private sector clients. He has also project managed work for local authorities designing and executing processes including: integrated SEA production and evaluation; and community engagement for local Municipal Waste Management Strategies and Waste Development Framework.

Alan is a Chartered Environmentalist & Waste Manager, and Environment Council trained and WRAP accredited facilitator. He is also an accredited Prince 2 Practitioner and member of the United Kingdom Environmental Law Association.
